Turn Coordinating Fabric into Neater Bias Binding

Create folded fabric strips for quilt edges, garment details and decorative trim without measuring every fold by hand. This 16-piece kit combines four bias-tape maker widths with an awl, snap-on adjustable binder foot and ten ball-point pins in a storage case.

Sixteen-piece bias tape maker and sewing accessory kit

Four Finished-Width Options

Green maker: 1/4in bias tape

Yellow maker: 1/2in bias tape

Red maker: 3/4in bias tape

Blue maker: 1in bias tape

Awl: helps guide the fabric strip through a maker

Adjustable snap-on binder foot: supports compatible sewing-machine binding work

Ten ball-point pins: help position fabric before stitching

Colour-coded bias tape maker sizes and accessories

From Fabric Strip to Folded Tape

1. Cut an even fabric strip to the width required by your selected maker, following the maker or pattern instructions.

2. Feed the strip into the wide end and use the awl carefully to guide it through.

3. Pull the emerging folded tape slowly while pressing it with an iron set appropriately for the fabric.

4. Let the tape cool, then pin it into position for sewing.

5. If using the binder foot, confirm it fits your sewing machine’s presser-foot system before installation.

Iron, Pin & Machine Safety

The kit contains sharp pins and an awl. Keep them capped or secured and out of reach of children and pets. Use the iron on a stable heat-resistant surface, select a temperature suitable for your fabric and keep fingers away from the soleplate and steam. Switch off and unplug the sewing machine before fitting or removing the binder foot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the listed sizes refer to the finished tape?
They are the stated maker sizes. Confirm the required starting-strip width using your pattern and the instructions supplied with each maker.

Will the binder foot fit every sewing machine?
No universal fit is confirmed. Compare your machine’s snap-on presser-foot connection and clearance before use.

Can I use any fabric?
Results vary by fabric weight, weave and heat tolerance. Test a scrap first and avoid material that cannot be safely ironed.
