From Fabric Strip to Folded Tape
1. Cut an even fabric strip to the width required by your selected maker, following the maker or pattern instructions.
2. Feed the strip into the wide end and use the awl carefully to guide it through.
3. Pull the emerging folded tape slowly while pressing it with an iron set appropriately for the fabric.
4. Let the tape cool, then pin it into position for sewing.
5. If using the binder foot, confirm it fits your sewing machine’s presser-foot system before installation.
Iron, Pin & Machine Safety
The kit contains sharp pins and an awl. Keep them capped or secured and out of reach of children and pets. Use the iron on a stable heat-resistant surface, select a temperature suitable for your fabric and keep fingers away from the soleplate and steam. Switch off and unplug the sewing machine before fitting or removing the binder foot.
