About Operation:

ON: Long press the (OPEN/CLOSE) button for 2 seconds to turn it on - The red light keeps on for 1 second.
OFF: Long press the (OPEN/CLOSE) button for 2 seconds to power off.
Gear Position: Lightly press the power button to cycle switch the always-on mode, which will keep the lid open without close it automatically. lightly press the power button to close the lid and switch the touchless mode to open the lid by motion. the sensing distance is up to 6 inches. The indicator flashes in touchless mode when motion is detected in the sensing distance range.
Note: The default interval time is 4 seconds to close the lid, however, the indicator light flashes and the lid keeps opening during use as long as the infrared sensor area is blocked.

Trouble-Shooting:

It doesn't work, and the lid of the trash bin cannot be fully opened or/and closed.
Please check the batteries and replace them with new ones when you have an issue with the trash can that cannot fully close or open the lid, alkaline batteries are recommended. Since both the motor and the sensor cannot work properly under low voltage. Lubricate some oil to the gear.
The lid will open and close automatically at random while there is nothing in the infrared sensor area.
Please do not put the trash can in the cabinet, otherwise, the lid of the trash can not be closed and opened normally. The sensor is on the lid of the trash can. Please make sure that there is no object within 1 meter above the trash can, otherwise, it will also affect the work of the sensor, and as a result, the lid will also not to be closed and opened normally.
The lid cannot be closed regularly after opening automatically, and the issue remains after changing the batteries.
Please install 2 new AAA batteries as both the motor and the sensor of the trash can not work under low voltage, we recommend alkaline batteries. Also check and clean the track of the lid to keep the surface of the track smooth, add a little lubricating oil to the gear of the lid.

TIPS: Do not immerse the trash can's lid in water or flush it with water. Use a damp or dry cloth to wipe it.
