  2. Lay one tether tab inside the case with its loop extending through the charging-port opening.
  3. Refit the phone and confirm the case closes fully without pressure on the connector.

A suitable case must close securely with the tab installed and leave enough clearance for charging. Compatibility is not universal; very tight, open-bottom or portless cases may not work.
