Setup, Care & Poultry Safety
1. Choose a dry, sheltered position that is easy for hens to enter and easy for you to inspect.
2. If mounting, fasten each box to a sound wall or frame using fixings appropriate for the surface. If freestanding, place it on a stable, level base where it cannot tip.
3. Check every fastener and edge before use. Do not use the box if plastic, pads or mounting hardware are cracked, loose or damaged.
4. Remove eggs regularly. Lift out the silicone pads for cleaning and allow all parts to dry fully before refitting.
5. Keep the nesting area ventilated, dry and protected from extreme weather. Provide suitable bedding if required for your flock-management method.
6. Nesting boxes are not predator-proof housing. Provide a secure coop, appropriate space, clean water, feed and shelter in line with local animal-welfare requirements.
